The Latest Info...
|
3 October 08 - It is that time of year my friends, when the Black belts and a handfull of the upper Kyu grades make the trek to Atlanta for Yudansha Kai. Yudansha Kai is an annual event that offers continuing education and re-certification for all AWA Instructors.
Yudansha Kai is 4 days of intense training in the Techniques of Instruction. The latest information on Organzational Teaching Standards are passed down by Andy Sato Sensei to all who attend. Testing is another important aspect of this particular seminar... the Methods of Testing as well as Practical/Actual Testing occurs, especially for those who are among the upper levels. Those of you who are in your Kyu grades, will, eventually have to go to this seminar to be Certified as an Instructor. The Blackbelts of Kure Beach Aikido will be in Atlanta for this most important seminar of the year. Upon our return, we will all post a few words on what we learned, and photos will be posted for your viewing pleasure. A big web site update will happen upon my return so stay tuned!! Kure Beach Aikido is 12 yrs Old!It didn't even occur to me, the all knowing KBA Webmaster that Kure Beach Aikido is 12 years Old as of 7 July 08!!!! For a Brief History of K.B.A., check out this from Richard Price Sensei on the More Stuff Page! If you find yourself in the Wilmington, NC area on Tuesdays or Thursdays, please feel free to drop by the dojo... we would love to have you.

Becasue of that, the need for LET T-Shirts, Business Cards and such for the Certified LET Instructors is being requested. Richard Price Sensei and I will be discussing the particulars of this, the needs of the LET Instructors. More to come shortly... I will be emailing all LET Instructors with specific information as well as instructions on what to do and how to do it... so stay tuned. -Bill King Sensei
